Job Summary:
We are seeking a Chemist Counter Assistant to join our team in a busy pharmacy environment.
We are looking for someone who is a team player, and can take on the following responsibilities:
* Supporting the smooth operation of our busy but friendly local Pharmacy.
* Being the face of the pharmacy since you will be the first person the customers will encounter as they walk into the pharmacy
* Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly and professional manner, providing our customers with a great service, making them want to visit our Pharmacy again.
* Offering appropriate information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Taking time to understand the customers' needs, explaining the benefits of the products in a way they understand and only selling products that are right for the customer.
* Taking in prescriptions and handing them out following our Standard Operating Procedures.
* Operating the till, updating the prices on the till and cashing up at the end of the day.
* Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
* Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services working as part of a cohesive pharmacy team.
* Responding to customer queries in relation to counter medicines, informing the Pharmacist of any complaints such as dispensing errors or queries.
* Ensuring that the pharmacy is clean, tidy and free of clutter.
* Ordering, receiving and checking goods and putting them away. Reporting any missing or damaged goods to the pharmacist manager.
* Keeping the pharmacy shelves neat and well stocked, ensuring there is good stock rotation to minimise out of date stock loss.
* Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Ideally, you will have
* Experience or qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Good communications skills.
