We’re looking for a Pricing Manager to join our Home, Pet and Travel team at Tesco Bank in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This team’s focus is on maintaining accurate and competitive prices for our Insurance products, taking account of various income streams, competitive position and customer lifetime value. We pride ourselves on our agile, varied and collaborative environment and it is a great time to join and contribute to our growing and successful Insurance team.
The role
The Pricing Manager will be predominantly looking after our Travel product (although exposure to other products is expected from time to time) with the role consisting of:
· Developing and optimising our pricing models and supporting our external partners to deliver growth within our Travel product
· Extracting and analysing data to support the business with pricing analysis and insight
· Monitoring performance on a regular basis and acting in an agile way to identify and react to opportunities and threats within the market
· Developing models for forecasting future performance
· Acting as a key stakeholder within the team as well as the first point of contact for commercial, finance and external partners, with exposure to the senior management team.
What you’ll bring
We expect that you will have:
· Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Personal Lines pricing
· Strong analytical background with a great attention to detail
· Strong communication skills, having the ability to explain complex analysis in plain English, avoiding jargon and communicate material financial implications of modelling and analysis decisions
· Experience in people, supplier and stakeholder management.
It is also desirable to have:
· Prior experience of using Insurance pricing software, Radar
· Knowledge of programming language, SAS, R.
