Barts Health NHS Trust seeks an enthusiastic, motivated Clinical Research Assistant to join our Reproductive Health and Childbirth research team. You will contribute to running studies at Barts Health NHS Trust, developing clinical research skills, and supporting our research agenda. The role is based at The Royal London Hospital, with weekly duties at Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
* Act as a point of contact for participants and health professionals.
* Identify potential participants and assist in their recruitment.
* Provide study-specific training; contribute to research studies eligible for the NIHR portfolio.

Join our established Reproductive Health and Childbirth programme, with expertise in obstetrics and gynecology research. The role involves working within a small, friendly team across three hospitals. This fixed-term position is initially for one year, with potential extension based on funding and recruitment progress.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Current certificate in ICH-GCP.
* Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
Desirable qualifications
* First honours degree in healthcare, science, or related field.
Experience
* Recent experience working with the public.
* Desirable: research environment experience, healthcare assistant roles, use of electronic case report forms, participant recruitment.
Knowledge
* Understanding of ICH GCP, research governance, NHS research processes, Data Protection Act, and web-based applications.
* Desirable: knowledge of patient confidentiality procedures.
Skills
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and good communication skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information and multitask effectively.
* Desirable: phlebotomy and sample processing skills.
