Offer description

We’re Kingfisher, a team of over 74,000 passionate people who bring Kingfisher and our other brands – B&Q, Screwfix, Brico Dépôt, Castorama and Koçtaş – to life. That’s right, we’re big, but we have ambitions to become even bigger and even better. We want to become the leading home‑improvement company and grow the largest community of home improvers in the world. And that’s where you come in.

At Kingfisher our customers come from all walks of life, and so do we. We want to ensure that all colleagues, future colleagues, and applicants to Kingfisher are treated equally regardless of age, gender, marital or civil partnership status, colour, ethnic or national origin, culture, religious belief, philosophical belief, political opinion, disability, gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation.

We are open to flexible and agile working, both of hours and location. Therefore, we offer colleagues a blend of working from home and our offices, located in London, Southampton and Yeovil. Talk to us about how we can best support you!

The Digital BI team at Kingfisher is looking for a talented, customer‑focused Business Intelligence Developer to strengthen the BI capabilities across our Digital function. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead data‑source initiatives and projects, build new data mechanisms, and develop a deep understanding of the business across all markets. You will play a key role in the long‑term improvement of the customer experience and the ongoing success of both Group and Banner operations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and a genuine passion for business intelligence. You will be comfortable working with large and complex data sets from multiple sources, using insight to identify, prioritise and support meaningful business opportunities. You will bring excellent analytical capability, strong technical skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset. You will also be customer‑focused, self‑motivated and confident operating in ambiguous environments, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

What's the job?

* Build a strong understanding of the internal and external metrics used to measure marketplace and wider digital performance.
* Develop tools and frameworks to forecast and report on key performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and drive business growth.
* Work collaboratively within the Business Intelligence team to develop a comprehensive reporting suite, enabling stakeholders to access commercial, sales, merchant and management insights required to grow digital sales and marketplace participation.
* Design and deliver advanced descriptive and predictive analytics to uncover insights and support future business and product development.
* Create, own and maintain regular business reports and dashboards using platforms such as Databricks and Power BI, providing insight into website performance, funnels, customer journeys and online behaviours to identify revenue opportunities.
* Maximise the reporting and analytical capabilities of the B2B CRM through effective data extraction, modelling and report creation.
* Attend, support and contribute to stakeholder meetings, presenting analysis, conclusions and recommendations clearly in both written and verbal formats.

What You'll Bring

* Strong understanding of key ecommerce and marketplace metrics and KPIs, with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
* Good commercial acumen and understanding of broader business principles, ideally within a retail environment.
* Extensive experience in performance measurement and data visualisation.
* Proven experience across a wide range of data, analytics and BI tools, including Excel, Azure Fabric products, Google Analytics, Databricks, Python, Power BI, SQL and Salesforce.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and simple way.
* Excellent analytical capability, with a proven ability to generate concise, actionable insights from large and diverse data sets.
* Experience working across multiple countries and cultures. A second banner territory language (French, Spanish or Polish) is highly desirable.
* Experience connecting to APIs and analysing data structures and availability, supporting effective long‑term data ingestion and retention within a central data lake.

Be Customer Focused – constantly improving our customers’ experience

* We listen to our customers and colleagues.
* We innovate products and experiences to stay ahead.

Be Human – leading with purpose, humanity and care

* We do the right thing.
* We invest in our people and build great teams.

Be Curious – thrive on learning, thinking beyond the obvious

* We focus externally, globally and build the long term.
* We experiment and share our learnings.

Be Agile – building trust and empowering people to work with agility

* We act with pace, not perfection, role‑modeling 80/20.
* We take risks, fail fast and adapt quickly.

Be Inclusive – inspiring diverse teams to achieve together

* We celebrate difference as a strength.
* We collaborate, breaking down silos.

Be Accountable – owning the plan, delivering results and growth

* We focus on performance outcomes.
* We prioritise and simplify for others.

At Kingfisher, we value the perspectives that any new team members bring, and we want to hear from you. We encourage you to apply for one of our roles even if you do not feel you meet 100% of the requirements.

In return, we offer an inclusive environment, where what you can achieve is limited only by your imagination! We encourage new ideas, actively support experimentation and strive to build an environment where everyone can be their best self. Find out more about Diversity & Inclusion at Kingfisher here.
