We are looking for experienced, forward-thinking Senior Fleet Underwriters to join our growing team.
What you’ll be doing
* Underwrite existing Mid‑Market business profitably, accurately, consistently, and in line with established underwriting practices, using the full range of tools available.
* Build trading relationships with brokers through visits and large case liaison to maximise financial results and generate pipeline of new business opportunities.
* Contribute to meetings with brokers and end customers to portray AXA capabilities and secure new business opportunities.

* Strong analytical skills with proven experience in account monitoring and action planning.
* Proven experience in decision making on a wide range of underwriting scenarios within a Commercial environment.
* Sound understanding of the insurance market and processes across commercial operations.
* Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for insurance, including treating customers fairly.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position is defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
