Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Enhanced Role Location: Kettering Area, Northamptonshire Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Working Hours: 19.5 hours per week (3 days), Term Time Training Days Salary: NJC Grade G (Point 8–12) – approximately £13.90 per hour (pro rata) The School and Role We are seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a forward-thinking, “Good”-rated primary school renowned for its positive staff morale and commitment to wellbeing. In this role, you will: Cover PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time Lead interventions and support teaching staff Support subject coordinators and enhance lesson delivery Potentially work towards completing your HLTA qualification if not already qualified Requirements To be considered for this position, you must have: Either a formal HLTA qualification or significant experience and readiness to train Experience delivering whole-class teaching and small-group interventions The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths A commitment to raising pupil achievement and creating an engaging learning environment An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer As a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: · Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
