Your new role
As a member of the payroll team, you will deliver an accurate,pliant and timely end‑to‑end payroll service for both weekly and monthly employees. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role requiring precision, responsibility and strong organisational skills.Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing full end‑to‑end weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring all payroll schedules reconcile accurately
2. Processing statutory deductions, HMRC RTI submissions, attachment of earnings and court orders
3. Managing absence records including sickness, maternity/paternity, jury service and other leave types
4. Administering additional and ad‑hoc payments such as bonuses, ensuring accurate calculations and employeemunication
5. Supporting and maintaining the Time & Attendance system to ensure accurate data transfer into ADP payroll
6. Handling monthly pension uploads and managing the ADP payroll app
7. Interpreting contracts and agreements regarding overtime, shift allowances and premiums
8. Processing termination payments and issuing statutory documentation including P45s, P60s and starter declarations
9. Producing payroll reports, tax/NI schedules and supporting external payroll enquiries
10. Responding to internal payroll queries with professionalism and clarity
11. Managing payments for pensions, union fees, CSA and court orders
12. Supporting payroll audits and implementing improvements based on oues
13. Identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes and drive continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
14. Payroll/finance qualification or equivalent hands‑on experience
15. Proven end‑to‑end payroll experience, ideally within a multi‑site environment (manufacturing preferred)
16. Experience usingputerised payroll systems — ADP and Workday highly desirable
17. Strong Excel and data‑analysis skills
18. Strong understanding of payroll legislation andpliance requirements
19. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
20. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
21. Professionalmunication skills and strong customer‑service approach
