Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager looking for a senior role that allows you to get involved in all aspects of the business? Or a Quantity Surveyor, Contract or Project Manager looking to take the next step into a commercial leader position?
At Ford Mainwaring, we’re entering a new chapter, investing in our future and growing our leadership team, as a result we are looking for a Commercial Leader to shape and drive our continued success.
This brand-new opportunity will allow you to shape our commercial strategy, from tendering through to final accounts agreements, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring our frameworks, bids, and contracts deliver value and sustainable growth, whilst working alongside the Managing Director, Head of Operations and Head of Finance, with full visibility across the business.
We’re looking for a commercially sharp, relationship driven professional who thrives on ownership, influence, and results. Someone who’s as comfortable on-site as in the boardroom. You’ll bring ambition and drive as this role offers exciting progression into a board level opportunity.
This opportunity will be based in the Stoke on Trent office and will involve travel across the Midlands and North West of the UK.
What we need from you:
· Must be prepared to take ownership and provide commercial leadership, upskilling our team members and improving commercial awareness.
· An understanding of balance sheets, profit & loss, and WIP would be highly beneficial.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead and take ownership of framework agreements and major bid processes.
· Ability to secure new business opportunities.
· Knowledge of M&E/Building Services would be desirable, but is not essential.
· Excellent communication skills including written and presentational.
