Are you a skilled and reliable Chef looking for short-term work? Vertas is seeking an experienced Chef to cover an 8-day period in September at our busy commercial site.
Role Overview:
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious, nutritious meals for staff and visitors, ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation. You will work closely with the catering team to deliver a smooth and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in line with menu specifications
Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are always maintained
Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as needed
Ensuring the canteen area is kept clean and organized
Supporting the team to deliver excellent food service
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Chef in a similar environment
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
Able to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable
Health and Safety Certificate
