We are presenting the opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who enjoy working collectively in a supportive, enthusiastic and caring department.
The Oral Maxillofacial Surgery team provides services across Worcestershire at three hospital sites including Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Redditch and Kidderminster Treatment Centre.
The Consultant team comprises eight Maxillofacial Consultant Surgeons and five Consultant Orthodontists, supported by four Specialty Doctors, and includes registrars, dental core trainees, foundation trainees and a CCT specialist in Oral Surgery.
The medical and dental staff are assisted by an experienced nursing team comprising RGNs, RDNs and CNS members.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to complement existing colleagues’ activity with a full‑time post with a specialist interest in skin cancer and Mohs surgery to continue to provide a high quality service across the two counties.
Clinical work will include general OMFS conditions and there is scope to develop the role and activities that will complement the forward direction of the department. Opportunities will also exist for interested candidates in clinical management and leadership, governance, postgraduate education and training. The recent opening on a Medical School in the city of Worcester provides exciting opportunities in undergraduate education.
