CAD Technician (Production & Fabrication)
Location: Gateshead
Salary: Up to £35,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Responsible for translating structural designs into the high-precision data that drives the manufacturing process. You’ll have the chance to own your workflow and play a critical role in the success of structural projects
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Converting CAD designs into machine-ready data to ensure seamless production.
* Scheduling and coordinating production flows to meet strict project deadlines.
* Maintaining high standards for tooling and materials while ensuring 100% traceability of all components.
* Monitoring the fabrication of structural steel components to ensure accuracy against the original specifications.
About You
You are a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of how things are built. You enjoy the challenge of working with structural steel and want to see your work move from the screen to the shop floor.
Requirements:
* Strong experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar packages.
* An understanding of structural steel sections and fabrication processes.
* Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing setting.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage data accurately and solve technical hurdles as they arise.
