Quality Engineer – Worcester | 40hrs/week, Day Shift Are you a quality-focused engineer who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and making an impact? Your Mission: Lead inspections: incoming, in-process, and final checks to ensure top-tier quality . Oversee NDT testing (VT, PT/MT, RT/UT) and close findings efficiently . Maintain full traceability of materials, welding, and electrical components. Create and manage ITPs, weld maps, quality plans, and NCRs . Drive continuous improvement : analyze defects, reduce rework, and improve manufacturability. Coach and mentor the team on inspection criteria, safety, and testing best practices . Interface confidently with clients and third-party inspectors, managing hold/witness points professionally . What You Bring to the Table: Hands-on experience in mechanical/electromechanical fabrication or modular plant construction . Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, electrical schematics, and datasheets . Skilled in precision measurement, pressure testing, torque, and basic electrical testing . Knowledge of welding quality, NDT methods, and ISO 9001 QMS . Strong communicator— shop floor and client-ready . Extra Points If You Have: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering . Six Sigma Green Belt or experience with SPC/CAPA . Familiarity with PED/UKCA, ASME B31.x/EN piping codes, ATEX, and BMS/I/O FATs . Experience in aerospace or automotive industries —a major advantage!
