What we’re looking for
Experienced Food Technical Manager to lead coordination and completion of activities in relation to food safety, quality, integrity, sustainability, allergen, and nutrition control.
What you’ll do
* Supply chain food safety, quality, integrity.
* Allergen and nutritional compliance.
* Supplier performance management.
* Technical scorecard completion, review and trending.
* Drive supply chain complaints reduction.
* Surveillance testing.
* Facilitate new menu launch process and manage sample requests for lab testing.
* Assess product specifications and raw material information to determine correct and accurate information.
* Manage supplier and raw material non‑compliances, incidents and reports across the business.
* Ensure the company meets its legal and ethical responsibilities.
* Resolve or escalated food safety issues and complaints appropriately.
* Liaise with other teams and provide accurate advice on food safety, allergen compliance and nutrition in relation to food and drink ingredients.
* Provide accurate compliance reporting periodically to drive business improvement.
* Prepare and review allergen and nutritional guides.
What you’ll need
* Degree qualification in food science, nutrition or related discipline.
* Minimum five years in a technical management role in the industry.
* Competence in supplier management, raw material management and risk assessments.
* HACCP Level 3 or higher.
* Knowledge and understanding of TACCAP and VACCAP.
* Knowledge and understanding of GFSI accreditation standards and schemes.
* Knowledge of allergen management and nutritional regulations.
* Knowledge of industry sustainability and welfare standards.
* Experience working with horizon scanning, FINN and RASFF.
* Restaurant operational awareness and knowledge beneficial.
* Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and databases.
* Ability to travel.
* Strong organisational, planning, prioritising and self‑motivating skills; team player.
