Offer description

• Permanent full-time opportunity | Based in Sydney or Perth! • Help shape smarter staffing that strengthens care across Australia • Shape the future of rostering in a transforming national organisation Are you a rostering guru who loves solving puzzles, optimising systems, and helping teams shine? Do you get a thrill out of turning complexity into clarity? If you're nodding… keep reading. This might just be your perfect opportunity. The Opportunity Step into a role where your expertise truly shapes how care is delivered across Australia. As our Rostering Optimisation Consultant, you’ll partner with residential sites nationwide to bring clarity, confidence, and consistency to workforce planning. You’ll be the trusted advisor leaders turn to for smart rostering solutions, operational insights, and practical support that makes a meaningful difference on the ground. In this role, you’ll elevate rostering practices through expert guidance, hands on troubleshooting, and tailored coaching. You’ll analyse trends, improve workforce utilisation, strengthen compliance, and help sites optimise their care minutes and staffing strategies. You’ll also play a key part in national transformation work—most notably our exciting move to a single tenancy UKG environment—where your ideas and experience will influence the future of rostering at scale. You'll also provide occasional short-term roster coverage to keep things running smoothly. If you enjoy problem solving, collaborating with passionate leaders, and driving improvements that directly support frontline care teams, this is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make your mark. What You’ll Bring To be considered, you will have: Extensive rostering expertise, with a minimum of five years’ experience in a shift based or complex workforce environment. Strong technical capability with workforce rostering systems, ideally including experience with UKG. Proven ability to train, coach, and support staff with varying levels of technological and operational proficiency. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and influence outcomes. High-level analytical and numeracy skills, with confidence interpreting workforce, cost, and utilisation data to inform decision making. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively. A Genuine alignment with BaptistCare’s values and mission. Residential aged care experience will be highly regarded. A Commitment to travel, including inter-state, as required. Ready to Optimise, Empower, and Elevate? If you’re excited by the idea of bringing smarter rostering practices to life and being a trusted advisor to our residential operational teams across Australia… we’d love to hear from you. About Us We are proud to be part of the merged care organisation that will be known nationally as BaptistCare. As a for purpose, Christian care organisation, we are committed to providing exceptional support and services across Australia. Together with Baptcare (VIC, TAS, SA) and Baptist Care SA we employ over 12,000 dedicated employees and support over 38,000 customers to help people live well with dignity and purpose. From older Australians and their families to people facing significant disadvantage, our passion and our priority are the customers we serve. We strive to deliver care as it should be – with people right at the centre. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as applications may be reviewed prior to the closing date. The closing date is subject to change without notice. Successful candidates will be subject to a variety of background checks including a national criminal history check, reference checks and, if applicable, WWCC, NDIS worker screening check and a pre-employment medical.
