Restaurant Manager
Location: Hayes (Ambleside). Contract: Permanent. Hours: Full Time (40 per week including weekends).
Job Overview
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager who has proven capabilities for running a successful restaurant and promoting excellent customer service. The role is hands‑on, requires teamwork and strong communication, and involves overseeing staff, ensuring smooth operations, and handling escalated customer queries and grievances.
Responsibilities
* Manage, lead, inspire and develop an amazing team to ensure a great restaurant experience for all customers.
* Ensure smooth running of the department with diligence, discipline and trust.
* Maintain the integrity and security of the tills and till area.
* Complete all relevant risk & COSHH assessments and ensure control measures are followed.
* Monitor ongoing operations and resolve issues promptly.
* Identify and report maintenance issues within the department promptly.
* Identify and manage health & safety issues and be aware of and manage all food hygiene requirements.
* Ensure all company fixtures and fittings are looked after, and all company property is maintained and used correctly.
* Empower and develop yourself and your team to their full potential with encouragement and training.
* Identify opportunities to improve sales with good value, high quality, consistent and unique produce.
Qualifications
* Experience at management level; at least 2 years of manager experience.
* Proven passion for guest service.
* Experience in kitchen work and cooking is required.
* Must be able to work weekends.
Skills
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong communication and team management abilities.
* Live the guest experience.
* Managerial experience.
* Good IT skills – Excel and Word.
* Basic social media knowledge – Facebook.
