About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a variety of SEND needs, including:
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
* Autism (ASD)
* Learning Difficulties (LD)
You will help to deliver targeted interventions, support pupils in the classroom, and contribute to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with additional needs.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
* Adapt resources to meet pupils’ individual needs.
* Help implement EHCP strategies and personalised support plans.
* Use sensory or communication tools where needed to aid learning.
* Support behaviour management using positive, proactive approaches.
* Promote a calm and inclusive classroom environment.
* Assist pupils during transitions, break times, and any off‑site activities.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff.

Requirements
* Experience supporting children or young people (school‑based experience desirable).
* Willingness to complete a DBS check (or provide an updated version).
* Two professional references.
* Proof of right to work in the UK.
