Offer description

Entry-level Band 3 roles do not meet the visa requirements and are therefore not eligible for sponsorship. Applicants requiring sponsorship will be asked to confirm eligibility during the process.

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, suitably qualified, confident and forward‑thinking individual to work as a healthcare assistant, specifically on our male dementia care ward.

The Harbour is situated on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire, with the Ribble Valley to the south, the Bowland Hills to the east and not too distant from the Lake District. It also benefits from being situated in a quiet area, very close to motorway links, just off the M55.

The Harbour consists of a variety of wards, including Adult Acute, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, Older Adult Wards and Dementia Wards. The teams work very closely to support each other and there is a clear focus on support and professional development of our nurses.

We have a wealth of disciplines based at the Harbour, including Psychologists, Occupational Health Nurses, Health and Wellbeing Workers, Physical Health Nurses, Pharmacists and Psychiatric Consultants. This ensures a holistic way of working and enables us to deliver the highest standard of care to our patients.

The successful post holder will be expected to rotate across the specialty areas and work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

Responsibilities

* Work as an integrated member of the multi‑disciplinary team (MDT), working within a rotational shift system to support patients according to their care needs, some of whom may present with problematic or challenging behaviour.
* Contribute to, and participate in the ongoing support of patients and their carers, and contribute to the protection of patients from abuse.
* Contribute to the health, safety and security of patients and their environment.
* Obtain, transmit and store information relating to the delivery of a care service.

LSCFT supports flexible working; we believe that a positive work/life balance benefits NHS employees through improved health and wellbeing. We would consider working patterns such as term time, part time, compressed hours and flexi‑time.

The wellbeing of our people is at the heart of everything we do. We offer a wide range of resources, tools and support to help you thrive both in and out of work.
