As demand for sustainable energy solutions grows, they are seeking a Sales Engineer with strong technical understanding to join their expanding team and help deliver innovative Net Zero projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and qualify sales enquiries across domestic and commercial markets.
* Conduct site visits and surveys, including heat loss calculations, system sizing, and acoustic assessments (training provided).
* Advise clients on the technical suitability and integration of renewable technologies within existing or planned building services.
* Prepare detailed quotations and proposals, collaborating with the design team for complex projects.
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
* Provide input on product specifications, system integration, and project planning.
* Ensure awareness and compliance with industry standards and schemes (MCS, RECC, BUS, Building Regulations, etc.).
Long-Term Growth Opportunities
* Progress into specifying full renewable energy system designs.
* Contribute to larger commercial and mixed-technology projects.
* Support project planning and attend client/site meetings.
* Help refine internal processes, technical design guidelines, and sales tools.
* Develop broader expertise across multiple Net Zero technologies.
What we're looking for in you:
Essential
* Strong technical background, ideally within renewable energy, building services, or technical sales.
* Ability to understand and explain engineering principles and system design to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, client engagement, and presentation skills.
* Strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Teams, CRM, quoting tools, etc.).
* Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
Desirable
* Qualifications such as Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or Green Deal Assessor.
* Knowledge of Building Regulations and compliance frameworks.
* Experience in project management, specification, or technical report writing.
