Job Title: Art Teacher – Independent School (Temporary, Part-Time)

Contract Type: Full-time initially, then part-time (Tuesdays & Fridays)
Description:
A highly regarded independent school in South Shropshire is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis. The role is full-time to start, then reducing to part-time (2 days per week – Tuesdays and Fridays) once Year 11 and Year 13 students have completed their coursework in the coming weeks.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a creative and supportive environment, with most of the curriculum planning already in place.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Art across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5
*
Focus on Years 7–10, as coursework for exam classes (Years 11 & 13) is near completion
*
Plan and deliver engaging lessons (majority of planning already completed)
*
Marking responsibilities required
*
Inspire students and promote a passion for the visual arts
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*
Experience teaching Art at KS3–KS5
*
Strong classroom management and communication skills
*
Ability to start immediately
*
Experience in an independent school setting is desirable but not essential
Working Pattern:

Full-time initially
*
Part-time (Tuesdays & Fridays) once exam groups complete coursework (within a few weeks)
