Overview
To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to adults with a range of neurological conditions within the community in the borough of Barnet.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist to join our dynamic community neurological therapy team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust until the 31st March 2027. The post will be based at the Neurological Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), within the Community Neurological Conditions Management Team (CNCMT) at Edgware Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and treat own caseload of patients as an autonomous and independent practitioner for patients who may have acute, chronic and/or complex neurological dysfunction, maintaining appropriate patient records and statistics.
* Act as a case co‑ordinator/key worker for allocated patients, including organising and undertaking reviews for patients with progressive neurological conditions.
* Supervise and teach more junior members of the team, including students and rehabilitation assistants, while also being involved in teaching of senior physiotherapists and other multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff.
* Undertake and present evidence‑based projects and service improvement initiatives, such as departmental audit and service developments, under the supervision of the line manager and/or Clinical Lead.
* Work as part of a specialist MDT, including the inpatient therapists based on the same site, and be involved in therapy in‑service training and education programmes.
* Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities, contributing to annual presentations of achievements and PDSA/QI projects to ensure the delivery of the most effective, safe and high‑quality service.
