Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
* Plan, film, and edit high-quality video and photo content across Apollo’s sports, education, and community programmes
* Manage and grow Apollo’s presence on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, ensuring content is engaging, consistent, and on-brand
* Lead the creation and launch of ‘Apollo TV’, our new youth -focused YouTube channel, including episode planning, filming, editing, and publishing
* Conduct interviews and podcasts with young people, staff, and special guests, giving a voice to real stories from within our community
* Attend Apollo’s events, holiday camps, and sports trips across the UK and abroad, gaining hands-on experience, capturing key moments, and being part of unforgettable adventures
* Capture day-to-day highlights through photography and video across our sessions in schools, leisure centres, and community hubs
* Create and schedule social media posts and reels that reflect Apollo’s energy and mission, using trending formats and music
Design basic graphics (e.g., thumbnails, posters, quote cards) using tools like Canva or Adobe
* Stay on top of content trends in youth sport, podcasting, and social platforms, bringing fresh ideas to the table
* Organise and maintain a growing content library, ensuring all footage is correctly labelled and archived
* Work closely with coaches, staff, and young people to ensure they feel confident and represented on camera
