About the Role:
Here at Barker Ross, we are looking for a motivated Production Operative to join our client's on-site team.
You will play a key role in supporting daily production tasks, working specifically in the Boxing and
Packing department of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is committed to working efficiently, reducing
waste, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
* Assist with packing food products.
* Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform cleaning duties as required.
* Support the achievement of production targets.
* Minimise production costs and waste.
Quality, Food Safety & Hygiene:
* Maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
* Follow hygiene policies and maintain personal hygiene standards.
* Monitor and record quality and safety performance where applicable.
* Report any unsafe practices or potential food safety issues.
Learning & Development:
* Attend training sessions to support personal development and ensure operational competence.
* Demonstrate competence in trained factory tasks.
* Follow instructions and guidance to the best of your ability.
Other Duties:
* Undertake any additional tasks as required to meet production needs.
Skills & Experience:
* Flexible, positive attitude with initiative.
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Respectful of others.
* Previous experience in food manufacturing is desirable.
* Experience in a quality-focused environment is a plus.
