QAV, is a live and virtual event production agency based in Cambridgeshire, bringing high-profile clients' conferences and meetings to life on a global scale. We are seeking a highly motivated individuals to join our expanding team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our experienced teams by assisting with the setup, operation, and breakdown of a wide range of audio-visual technologies.
We are looking to appoint a highly skilled and proactive Junior Project manager or experienced AV Technician wishing to progress his career as a hands-on Project Manager.
The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in AV systems, be a natural problem-solver, and possess the ability to coordinate with internal teams and third-party contractors to deliver exceptional events, and productions. This is a dynamic role requiring both technical proficiency and strong interpersonal skills resulting in a person with excellent and fair leadership skills but also act as a mentor to junior staff members,.
Responsibilities:
* All Round knowledge of AV systems is a distinct advantage, but at the same time a desire to push the technical boundaries to create new opportunities
* Budgetary skills are a definite requirement, and we would expect you to adopt our ethos of fairness to clients and suppliers while not jeopardising income streams for the company
* You will be part of a company that engages in projects as a team, regardless of the status of the projects
* Client awareness and understanding expectations for their projects is essential
* Develop and retain new clients to maintain the diversity of our portfolio of clients
* Share your technical knowledge with junior staff to progress their careers and opportunities
* Maintain a professional and organized approach to work, demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications:
* Strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Computer literate
* A valid passport is required for potential travel opportunities.
* A valid driving licence
