Operations Safety and Standards Manager South of Stratford upon Avon

Do you have extensive experience in the Rolling Stock sector? Are you looking for a new challenge where you can utilise your Safety and compliance skills?

We are supporting our client in the search for an Operations Safety and Standards Manager based out of their state of the art facility in Stratford upon Avon. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the operations management system to enable safe delivery of train driving and shunting operations as well as managing risk.

As Safety Manager You will also be involved in;

* You will champion the development of a high performing, safe delivery culture in line with company vision and values

* Maintaining the operations management system to ensure alignment and compliance with Railways and other guided transport systems (Safety) Regulations (ROGS)

* You’ll develop and maintain the driving and shunting policy working with the Operations manager to ensure consistent implementation across the team

* Manage continued development of the Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) for safety critical activities.

* Working with the Operations Trainer to ensure training in place for operations standards and procedures.

* Carry out investigations into operational safety events, ensuring actions and recommendations are completed.

What you’ll have;

* You will have a strong background in Rail Operations and knowledge of the Railway rulebook

* You ideally will have a NEBOSH certification as well as developing and implementing ROGS compliant management system

* Extensive experience managing safety in a Rail operations environment

* You’ll have demonstrable experience of delivering a safe delivery culture
