Senior Electronics Engineer – Glasgow (Hybrid Working)

Overview
This role covers all aspects of the product lifecycle, from requirements through specification, concept studies, design and development, integration, validation and qualification. It is a great opportunity to build technical skills, widen systems understanding and develop your career.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
* Undertake design of complex electronic circuit assemblies or architectures, from concept through to system integration and qualification.
* Lead discussions with a multi‑disciplinary team (systems, mechanical, software, safety, etc.) to develop an optimum solution.
* Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure products meet all requirements and comply with regulatory safety and environmental standards.
* Contribute to the development of the wider electronics team, including mentoring junior members, overseeing improvements and reviewing peers' work.
* Generate electronics specifications, architectures and development or verification plans.
* Support the bid process through generation of estimates and consultancy on electronic solutions.
* Present robust engineering solutions at design reviews.
* Monitor progress of work against cost, schedule and performance.
Experience And Skill Required
* Experience of electronic design throughout the design lifecycle.
* Previous use of schematic capture packages (Cadence, Mentor Graphics or similar).
* Development of electronic products in a formal environment.
* Experience testing at circuit board and system level (board bring‑up, debug, EMC testing).
* Preparation of sub‑system requirements/procurement specifications.
* General understanding of engineering process and design lifecycles.
