About the Role
A leading global company in material testing and dynamic systems innovation is seeking a Senior Electrical / Electronics Engineer. You will contribute to the design, development, and support of cutting-edge electrical and electronic systems across the full product lifecycle.
You will work in a multi-disciplined team, collaborating with Operations, Service, and Business functions, while driving innovation projects from concept to manufacturing and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and analyse analogue, digital, and power electronics designs.
* Work on instrumentation electronics, signal processing, analogue sensors, and filter design.
* Apply closed-loop control and 3-phase brushless motor drive knowledge.
* Produce prototypes, test documentation, and reports.
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety, EMC, UL, and EU Machinery / Low Voltage Directives.
* Mentor junior engineers and support cross-department collaboration.
* Work with external suppliers for component design and integration.
* Manage project work packages, providing accurate progress and cost updates.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years' practical experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience across the full product lifecycle.
* Strong knowledge of VHDL and FPGA design.
* Familiarity with PLM, CAD, Cadence, ePLAN.
* Analytical and practical problem-solving abilities.
* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work within a team.
