Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of SME customers, understanding their needs and business aspirations, and identify opportunities to support them through Allica Bank services and your own external networks.
* Originate SME lending opportunities for both existing and new customers from initial enquiry through to completion, including writing credit papers in line with Allica's credit policy and appetite.
* Deliver the business plan for your local area, and actively manage your objectives and personal development plan.
* Represent Allica in your local area, ensuring excellent service for SME customers, prospects and advisors.
* Work closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service.
* Contribute positively to Allica's culture and demonstrate the bank's values.
* Comply with all mandatory policies and adherence to operational procedures to maintain internal controls.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
* Highly capable Relationship Manager and Business Developer with a long-term track record of building high-value, trust‑based and long-lasting referral relationships.
* Strong understanding of SME banking, including a background in commercial lending.
* History of exemplary service and of maximising value for prospects and customers.
* Passion for SMEs, self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, evidence of strong career progression and/or outperformance.
* Ability to work expertly with customers, colleagues and advisors to structure new lending proposals and write credit applications.
* Proven track record in providing excellent customer service and generating new income opportunities while effectively managing credit risk.
* Ability to analyse and review financial accounts and associated information.
