Job Title: Apprentice Hospitality Supervisor – ICC

Reporting to: F&B Event Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days a week (start at 6 am; late finishes can be after midnight)
Contractual Requirements: Candidates must be aged 18+
About the Role
We are recruiting an Apprentice Hospitality Supervisor to support and assist in the efficient operations of our live events, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operations Support: Assist in the smooth running of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, and organisation. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
* Inventory Management: Support stock checks, receive deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
* Customer Service: Welcome guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, handle inquiries or complaints.
* Service Standards: Monitor dining area, maintain cleanliness, gather feedback, and contribute to improvements.
* Staff Supervision: Supervise and support bar and restaurant staff during shifts, providing guidance as needed.
* Training: Assist in training new team members on responsibilities, service standards, and safety procedures.
* Team Environment: Foster teamwork, resolve conflicts, and recognise employee contributions.
* Cash Handling: Support cash transactions, process payments accurately, and reconcile registers.
* Sales & Inventory Monitoring: Track sales performance and inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
* Cost Control: Minimise waste and adhere to budget guidelines.
* Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Follow protocols, participate in training, and report hazards.
* Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality to ensure consistency.
* Menu Ideas: Contribute ideas for menu improvements and promotional activities.
* Relationship Building: Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
* Collaboration: Work with colleagues and management to support team goals.
Ideal Apprentice Profile
* Minimum experience: 2 years in hospitality, preferably in restaurant or bar environments.
* Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, with staff supervision experience.
* Customer Service Focus: Track record of delivering excellent service and handling inquiries.
* Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of food and beverage service regulations and hygiene standards.
* Financial Understanding: Basic knowledge of handling cash, processing transactions, and inventory management.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication.
* Problem‑Solving: Identify issues and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
* Team Player: Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with management and fellow staff.
* Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
