We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join the payroll team at Greggs.
Working at our Head office in Newcastle upon Tyne, you will work within a vibrant, close nit team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Payroll.

About the role
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) however flexibility in this will be considered

What you'll do
The successful candidate will maintain effective procedures and processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Payroll to more than 28,000 colleagues that are paid weekly across our Retail and Supply Chain teams.
The key responsibilities and duties are:
14. End to End Payroll Processing
15. Providing a high level of customer service
16. Starters, Leavers, Maternity/Adoption/Paternity leave
17. Tax code changes, Student Loans, Court Orders
18. Leave of Absences, Dependency Leave, Bereavement leave, Sickness
19. One-off Payments, Cycle to Work
20. Interim Payments
21. Third Party Payments
22. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
23. Payslip Enquires
24. HMRC Correspondence
25. Taking ownership of specific processes, maintaining documentation
26. Identifying and implementing process changes
27. Assist with overseeing the resolution of queries from employees relating to Payroll, recognising when to escalate
28. Identify opportunities for process improvement, delivering agreed improvement initiatives
29. Provide high standard of customer service, consistency with internal standards and operational compliance
30. Strong skills in planning, prioritising, and organising
31. Experience/technical knowledge in operating within a payroll team
About you
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
32. You are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
33. Ideally you will have experience of SAP Payroll and/or CIPP Technician qualification
34. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
35. Experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace
36. Strong administrative and organisational skills
37. Multi-tasking and working with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
38. IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
39. Strong numerical and analytical skills
40. You are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
