Help Shape the UKs Energy FutureMethods Engineer Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell CAs part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theLogistics & Services Section.What will you do?Develop and maintain site plot plans and logistics layouts (traffic routesand management, laydown areas, welfare and plant operation zones)Produce and review technical drawings, BIM models, and sequences to support logisticactivities.Define and support delivery of temporary buildings and accommodation infrastructure including utilities and installation methodology.Develop construction methodologies, logistics strategies, and sequencing plans aligned plans aligned with site constraintsPrepare technical documentation for logistics and plant operations.Identify risks and constraints, implementing migration and optimisation solutionsCo-ordinate with all stakeholders for the design and implementation of temporary works.Manage Temporary work interfaces within logistic area/scope, ensureprocedure,permit to load, to work are compiled before engage worksPrepare and review the design briefs to ensure that they are adequate and as per the project standardsEnsure that the duration for temporary works designs, checking and construction are realistically times in the programme,Ensurethat the construction method statements incorporate the requirements for temporary works designs.What are we looking for?Knowledge & SkillsEssentialStrong experience of logistics interfaces and operations on major projectsStrong understanding of plant and equipment used in major civil engineering projectsAbility to co-ordinate with multiple delivery teams and manage interfacesStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to interpret mechanical and civil technical drawings specifications and plant data.Demonstratable high level of competencein using tools such as AutoCAD, Primavera and CMMSStrong knowledge British Standard for Temporary works (BS 5975)DesirableNuclear/license condition experience.Experience ofmanagingsimilar system incivil engineering projects.Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management SystemsKnowledge of lifting procedures and legislation in the UKQualifications & ExperienceEssentialCivil/Mechanical Engineering background (degree or equivalent experience)Experience in plant operations/logistics, maintenance, or engineering support rolesDesirableTemporary works or construction engineering qualificationsExperience working within JointVentures/Alliances.UK majorinfrastructure or construction project experienceRelevant safety or plant-related training (e.g. appointed persons)What we will offer you?The CWA is a single delivery organisation made of up of the client (Sizewell C) and three parent companies - Balfour Beatty, Bouygues and Laing O'Rourke - which offer industry leading packages including market leading salaries, generous annual leave entitlements, pension scheme and other flexible benefits.About UsThe CWA celebrates the creativity and innovation that comes from a diverse workforce, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds especially those from under-represented communities.
