Post‑CCT Radiologist – Gastrointestinal Radiology
Applications are invited for a highly motivated and dynamic Post‑CCT Radiologist with a strong interest in Gastrointestinal Radiology to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Our department offers a well‑established fellowship programme across multiple specialties, allowing the fellow to work alongside a larger multidisciplinary team and enhance expertise in GI radiology at an advanced level. The appointed fellow will receive support from a dedicated clinical supervisor throughout the programme, as well as an educational supervisor who will oversee the fellowship across all specialties.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct supervision and training to achieve and exceed the level 2 FRCR curriculum for a broad range of complex non‑vascular interventional procedures.
* Perform biliary interventions, renal tract interventions and endoluminal procedures.
* Conduct image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ultrasound and CT‑guided biopsies and drainages.
* Participate in rendezvous procedures alongside clinicians and surgeons in theatre.
* Work with CT and US guidance for hepatic and renal tumour ablation.
* Report on complex diagnostic radiological examinations, including advanced CT and MRI cross‑sectional imaging, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound studies.
* Apply state‑of‑the‑art contrast‑enhanced and bowel ultrasound techniques.
* Prepare and present cases at multidisciplinary team meetings for hepatobiliary oncology, colorectal, upper GI, chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
