I am representing an award-winning IT MSP who is specialising in delivering IT support, cloud solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace), network management, and cybersecurity services to businesses across the UK. They are looking for an experienced 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join their growing team.
Location:
* Vauxhall, London (UK)
* Full-time office
You will be an escalation point for more complex incidents and requests, working closely with the 1st Line team and senior engineers to keep users productive and systems running smoothly. This is a hands-on technical position that also gives you the chance to shape processes, documentation, and service improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 2nd-line support for Windows 10/11 and some macOS users
* Resolve escalated tickets from 1st Line and own issues through to completion
* Troubleshoot and support networking (WiFi, LAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, WAPs)
* Manage Office 365 / Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, and related services
* Deploy software updates, patches, and new applications
* Configure and troubleshoot network printers and peripherals
* Perform data backups and restores when required
* Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the internal knowledge base
* Collaborate on recurring issue analysis and continual service improvement
* Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed
What You Bring
* At least 2 years’ experience in a 2nd-line or similar IT support role (MSP background is a bonus but not essential)
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 10/11 and macOS
* In-depth, hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (Office 365 Admin Centre, Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, Intune/SharePoint)
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WiFi, firewalls, switches)
* Familiarity with Google Workspace administration
