This is a field-based role carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy construction and plant machinery. Key Responsibilities of the Plant Fitter * Service, inspect and repair plant and construction machinery at customer sites * Fault-find and repair diesel, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems * Attend breakdowns on-site via shared on-call rota (standby and call-out pay included) * Complete job sheets, timesheets, and digital records accurately * Work independently while coordinating with the parts and service team * Help train or support junior technicians when required * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with compliance standards Essential Requirements * NVQ / SVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plant, Agricultural, Vehicle or Mechanical Engineering * Experience with heavy plant, construction equipment or mobile machinery * Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics and fault finding * Strong work ethic and time management – able to work independently in the field * Basic IT/computer skills for job reporting * Full UK Driving Licence Apply Now Apply now with your CV — interviews are ongoing, and we’re happy to answer any questions before you commit.
