Role Overview
This is an exciting and challenging lecturer role supporting learners seeking a career in health or social care. You will design and deliver curriculum that meets the needs of local communities, drawing on strong links with NHS and healthcare providers in the region. Teaching experience is desired but not essential; a passion for the sector and a desire to inspire young people are key.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver health and social care course content, including GCSE programmes, level 1‑3 courses, and T‑level in health and adult counselling. • Work with the curriculum team to align courses with industry standards and learners’ needs. • Promote work‑life balance and flexible working arrangements, including job share opportunities. • Support professional development of students, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Experience
• Teaching experience is desired but not essential. • Level 5 teaching qualification and experience typically required for appointments at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE). • Passion for health and social care education; strong communication, collaboration and expectation‑setting skills are essential.
