We are partnering with a global, knowledge‑driven organisation to hire an experienced People Business Partner on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The Role
As a People Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to your business areas, partnering closely with leaders, managers and colleagues to deliver the People Strategy and support organisational goals.You will enable your stakeholder groups by providing expert guidance across the full colleague lifecycle while also leading business‑specific initiatives relating to organisational design, capability, and workforce planning. This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands‑on, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to influence effectively at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Build strong, trusted relationships with managers and teams, developing a deep understanding of business priorities and challenges
* Partner with colleagues across People Operations and the specialist Centres of Excellence to deliver the Global People Plan
* Lead and support organisational change programmes, including restructures and redesign
* Maintain organisational charts and support workforce planning and talent deployment
* Drive performance, capability, and reward initiatives within your business area
* Support employee engagement, culture initiatives and colleague development
* Use data and insight to inform decisions, create people plans and tell compelling stories through metrics
* Contribute to cross‑functional People projects and transformation activity
* Bring a commercial, customer‑focused mindset to all people initiatives
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Proven HR Business Partner experience supporting teams across the colleague lifecycle
* Strong organisational change experience, including restructures and consultation
* Demonstrated success in talent planning, performance management and workforce planning
* Strong project management capability and comfort using project tools/processes
* Excellent data analysis and people‑insight skills
* Working knowledge of UK employment legislation
* Experience working with unions (desirable but not essential)
* Credible stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Empathy, strong listening skills and a collaborative working style
* Comfort working in ambiguity and shifting priorities ("in the grey")
* HRBP generalist capability plus experience in at least one Centre of Excellence.
Working Model
This role offers a balanced hybrid model, with approximately three days per week on‑site at the organisation's Oxfordshire office. Candidates must live within a commutable distance.
