To ensure the schools' buildings and furnishings are safe, secure, and maintained to standards defined by the school and Health and Safety legislation, determined by the Senior Leadership Teams of the schools / Trust. To plan, organise and inspect all works relating to the general site management ensuring that the schools' site is fit for purpose. Manage a planned maintenance programme including routine inspections of designated buildings, fixtures, fittings, furniture premises and grounds. Asses for minor work or repairs required to be carried out to maintain safe and satisfactory conditions. Main Duties: Site Security including being a key holder, arranging checks, identifying and reporting site issues and taking site deliveries. Regularly test fire alarms and be familiar with the evacuation procedure for the premises and carry out evacuation drills as required. Undertake minor/simple repairs as required e.g. minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, redecorating and fixing etc. Monitor the cleanliness of the school premises. To work without direct supervision due to the times of work and/or nature of the duties. 35 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Shift pattern to be discussed at interview, however there will be a requirement for a split shift to allow for opening and closing of school.
