Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
* Assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
* Process monthly sales invoices.
* Credit control.
* Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
* Daily bank reconciliations.
* Balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
Experience
* 2 years minimum experience in a similar role.
* Related accountancy qualification (AAT) or equivalent experience.
* Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes is essential.
* Proficiency in accounting software (such as Xero) is highly desirable.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
