As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day–to–day operations of our care home's kitchen.

What you'll be doing
* Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high–quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
* Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
* Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and safe methods of work are always used
* Manage all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
* Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks

About You:
* Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment.
* Committed to customer care and first–class service provision
* Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
* Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
* Ability to multi–task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast–paced environment
