Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This post is based at Kirkintilloch Health Centre. We provide services Across New Victoria ACH, WGACH, Stobhill ACH, Stobhill Mental Health (Forensic, Adolescent and Adult/Older Persons) and Community locations across the North and East of Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. The community locations include 3 Ambulance Stations, Decontamination Unit, 12 Health Centres and 8 resource centres with approximately 360 staff.
Responsibilities
* Supervision of staff cleaning patient areas, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with NHS national cleanliness standards, mop laundering and porter/messenger services within the health care environment.
* Allocate staff resources, audit services, input payroll information, plan and carry out staff training, and liaise with service users and department leads.
* This is a working supervision role where cleaning tasks are carried out as part of the duties.
Qualifications and requirements
Essential:
* Good communication skills; contact with patients and service users requires clear communication.
* Right to work in the UK for the duration of employment.
* Ability to provide at least two references from current or most recent employment covering the last 3 years.
