You will be managing projects from concept to completion using SolidEdge. The Role:Manage mechanical design projects within cost constraints.Design probing & handling mechanisms for test fixtures & custom engineering solutions.Liaise with customers on projects and their mechanical requirementsDetailed design to customer specifications (implementing changes if necessary)Work as part of a project team with engineers from other disciplinesProducing drawings to BS8888 for manufacture & General AssemblySourcing components & producing accurate parts listsCarry out factory acceptance tests (and site acceptance tests, when required)Integration of mechanical assembly into complete systemsWork within ISO procedures (controlled documentation & change control management The Candidate:Minimum 2 years experience within Design. Ideally Test & Measurement industry.Familiarity with machined components and assembly techniques.Experience with a 3d drawing package, SolidEdge ideal but Solidworks or Inventor also fine.Experienced in concept to completion design ownership.Good analytical skills.Experience working within tight deadlines.
