Purpose of Role
We have an exciting opportunity at VINCI Facilities for a Security Officer to join our established security team based at Lincolnshire County Council offices.
Job Description
VINCI Facilities requires Security Officers to join our team and provide general manned guarding services at one of our prestigious public-sector sites.
This role combines frontline security duties with minor caretaker responsibilities to ensure the safety, security, and smooth day-to-day functioning of the premises.
This is a key role within our professional Security Team, delivering a proactive, high-quality, and customer-focused service to our client and all building users.
Our Security Officers are expected to be flexible, reliable, and take responsibility for delivering an effective and proactive security presence, combined with a helpful and supportive approach to building operations.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain the highest level of security through proactive detection and prevention activities, as well as effective emergency response.
2. Carry out internal and external site patrols and monitor CCTV systems.
3. Manage gatehouse, reception, and visitor access duties.
4. Oversee car parking and site traffic management.
5. Perform control room and key control tasks.
6. Undertake minor caretaker duties, such as basic facility checks and reporting maintenance issues.
7. Support the Security Supervisory and Management Team by identifying vulnerabilities and assisting in addressing or mitigating risks.
8. Ensure the site remains safe and secure for all staff, visitors, and contractors, while upholding the security integrity of the Council premises at all times.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
9. Active and valid frontline SIA Licence (DS or SG) – minimum level of Security.
10. Exceptional customer service skills with a calm and professional demeanour.
11. Full five-year checkable employment history.
12. Ability to obtain and maintain Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance.
13. Flexibility to meet the requirements of the role, including different shift patterns if needed.
14. Reliable, punctual, and proactive.
15. Smart appearance and well-groomed at all times.
