JOB: Selling and serving meals and beverages efficiently and politely and ensuring customer satisfaction. Other duties may be required to be completed.
TO WHOM RESPONSIBLE: Franchise Owner, Restaurant Manager and Shift Managers
HOURS: Weekdays, approx. 15hrs per week
MAIN TASKS:
1. SERVICE - To be fast, efficient and pleasant to all customers at all times. Meet and greet customers and serving to the Wimpy standards of service. Take customer orders and trying to generate extra sales using the Wimpy selling policy. Serve the meals, beverages and desserts to the customers. Ensure the plates are cleared when the customers have finished and ask if everything was OK. Offer a dessert or another drink. Always give the customer a polite message as they leave, e.g. "thank you, see you again". Operate the till system and handle cash. Be able to prepare ice cream dishes, coffee or tea, milkshakes. Sell and serve take-away, when required.
2. GENERAL - Help other staff in general duties, including answering the telephone and relaying messages. Deal with any difficult customers in the company-approved manner.
3. CLEANLINESS - Comply with all regulations concerning health, safety and hygiene as explained by the management. Complete all cleaning check lists fully and check the toilets as per the frequency on the check list. Be personally clean and wearing a clean and complete Wimpy uniform. Keep work area thoroughly clean. Help other staff to keep the restaurant clean and tidy at all times.
OPENING DUTIES: Wipe all tables and seats and clean table and seat pedestals. Dust all ledges. Wipe menus. Lay-up tables with clean filled condiment containers. Check cutlery and Wimpy serviettes.
DUTY PERIOD: Throughout the duty period FoH Team Members must keep to their allocated tables for service and ensure that all customers are served quickly, properly and courteously. Vacated tables must be immediately cleared and all crockery taken to the wash-up. Tables, seats, condiments and menu holders to be wiped clean. Tables reset with clean filled condiments ready for new customer. Sweep and mop the floor as required. Ensure that wet floor safety signs are displayed at all times.
CLOSING DUTIES: Refill condiment containers as necessary. Wipe over all tables and seats. Sweep and wash through the restaurant. Help BoH Team Members to wash remaining crockery and cutlery. Sweep and mop customer area floor.
