Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate:£460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Maintain continuity of learning and support students to stay engaged in a structured classroom environment during teacher absences!
GSL Education are searching for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors (CS) to work in schools across Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or build a career in education.
Main Duties of Cover Supervisors:
* Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Provide support and guidance to students during lessons.
* Report any issues or concerns to senior staff.
Essential Requirements of Cover Supervisors:
* Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
* Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills.
* Good communication and organisational abilities.
* Flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
