We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students stay on task.
* Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
* Encourage student participation and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Respond to any questions from students and provide guidance where necessary.
* Ensure that completed work is collected and returned to the appropriate teacher.
* Report back on student behaviour and any issues arising during the lesson.
* Support the wider school community, assisting with duties such as breaktime supervision and exam invigilation when required.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
* Strong classroom management skills and confidence in leading a class.
* A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly across different subjects and age groups.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students as a Cover Supervisor.
* A degree or relevant qualifications in education (desirable but not essential).
