Role responsibilities
As a Field Sales Representative, the first few weeks will be heavily training-based with a thorough induction into the company and market. Once up and running fully, your day-to-day will involve visiting clients in person across Aberdeen and surrounding areas. You will deal with store owners, buying departments and department managers. The role will be a mix of new business, up-selling, cross-selling and offering product training.
There are examples of graduates who have started their sales careers within this investment group and gone on to run individual businesses within the organisation.
Candidate profile
This is an excellent opportunity for a university graduate looking to launch a career in sales, with no prior experience required. The right individual will have a driving license due to the client-facing nature of the role and the company car offered. They’ll be confident, a strong face-to-face relationship builder, target driven and comfortable with working in an unpredictable environment where things can (and will) go wrong, while driven by the rewards of success in sales.
While no work experience is required, people who have worked part-time in industries such as hospitality, retail or customer service alongside their degree have traditionally held strong transferable skills for a Field Sales Representative role.
