The company is based near Winchester and delivers high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, with projects ranging up to the value of £20M. They are looking for a motivated individual with around 24 years experience, currently operating as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Buyer, who is keen to step up into a broader in-house development position with real responsibility. The Role Working closely with the Commercial Manager and senior team, you will support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and budgets Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Measuring works and assisting with valuations Preparing interim applications and final accounts Monitoring project costs and reporting variations Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting The Ideal Candidate 24 years experience in a Quantity Surveying or buying role Background working within construction or development Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or working towards) Strong numerical and analytical skills Good communication and organisational abilities Ambitious and keen to take on more responsibility within a growing business Whats on Offer Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience Clear career progression within a growing development business Opportunity to take on real responsibility and broaden your experience Exposure to a wide range of projects and sectors Friendly and collaborative working environment This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to take the next step in their career within a supportive and expanding business.
