Benefits and Working Arrangements
* Flexible Working: Hybrid role, primarily working from home (UK) and London/Bracknell Head Offices, with occasional visits to other locations as needed.
* Working pattern/flexibility: Typically attending the office once or twice a month; up to twice a week if required, with offices open 5 days per week for those who prefer more frequent attendance.
* Salary: Up to £92,500 (depending on experience)
* Contract type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Embed into a mobile app development team, promoting quality, continuous testing, and team accountability.
* Mentor team members in testing practices, review codebases, and contribute to pipelines and deployment processes.
* Advocate for quality and good engineering practices, ensuring user-centric approaches.
* Mentor junior members and support their development.
* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing expectations and advocating for best practices.
* Opportunities to progress into people management roles.
* Continuously update skills and stay current with latest technologies and techniques, supported by company resources.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience delivering native mobile apps for iOS and/or Android.
* Knowledge of architectural patterns for mobile development.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and backend services.
* Coaching teams on testing approaches, including shift-left and shift-right strategies.
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills related to engineering approaches.
* Experience with elaboration activities to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Proficiency in coding for testing utilities, automation, and pipeline integration.
* Knowledge of testing tools like XCTest/XCUITest and/or Espresso.
* Ability to analyze non-functional risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Bitrise/Gitlab CI, GraphQL, BFF patterns, Microservices, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), and mobile security testing.
