Reporting to the Direct & Employment Tax Manager, you will manage direct tax provisions, support UK tax compliance, and liaise with finance teams across the business. The role offers exposure to a variety of tax functions, process improvement initiatives, and strategic decision support. This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare direct tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for statutory accounts
* Finalise tax computations for HMRC submission and respond to tax queries
* Post monthly tax charges and produce consolidated tax reporting
* Reconcile direct tax balance sheets and monitor issues
* Collaborate with finance teams to analyse data and identify process improvements
* Support forecasting of effective tax rates and Payments on Account
Candidate Profile
* Chartered tax or accountancy qualification (CIOT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
* 5+ years post-qualification in an in-house tax or Big 4 environment
* Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax and tax accounting
* Proficient in Excel and data analysis; Oracle experience desirable
* Self-motivated with excellent communication and teamwork skills
