Vehicle Technician required in Central Bristol.
1. Up to £36,000 per annum plus bonus/overtime, providing an on-target earnings of around £39,000 per annum (If you have specialist experience this could be higher!)
2. Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with optional overtime available.
Our client, an independent family-run garage situated in Central Bristol, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their business.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working as part of a long-standing team in a contemporary workshop environment, as a Vehicle Technician, your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repairs on customers' vehicles as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure any faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Service Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance. You will also need to ensure that health and safety, as well as work quality procedures laid down by our client, are adhered to at all times. On occasions, you will also be required to assist at the front desk regarding booking in/out work and any general inquiries from customers regarding their vehicles.
To be eligible, you will ideally be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum and have at least two to three years’ technical experience post-qualification. Our client is also willing to consider time-served Vehicle Technicians with no formal qualification, provided they have strong technical experience. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a stringent workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. An active MOT licence or specialism with diesel or hybrid/electric vehicles would be highly advantageous, but is non-essential.
