Would you like to teach without the stress of the classroom environment?

We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join us at our Kip McGrath tuition centre in Driffield. Since opening in March 2025 our centre has grown rapidly and we are now looking for experienced teachers to join our team. You must have qualified teacher status, at least 2 years experience teaching English or Maths in a UK school and be able to teach up to and including Higher GCSE.

At Kip McGrath Driffield & Bridlington we provide English and Maths tuition to children from age 6 to 16 in our new centre located in the heart of Driffield. Tuition sessions are delivered to small groups of up to five learners with programs individually tailored to the needs and aims of each student.

We support learners in achieving their desired outcomes through the compassionate and engaging delivery of a bespoke range of Kip McGrath learning resources.

A majority of our sessions are delivered Monday to Thursday 4pm until 6pm and Saturdays 9am until 10am.

About the role

Tutors will deliver English or Maths tuition in a small group setting utilising Kip McGrath digital resources. You will help learners of all abilities to grow their confidence, develop their skills, and meet their goals.

We are looking for someone who can ideally start by teaching one night a week, with the option of extra hours in the upcoming months. Various days are available and we offer competitive rates of pay.

In this role you will be responsible for:

* Teaching students using the Kip McGrath methodology
* Tutoring students in a positive, caring manner to promote self esteem and self worth
* Quickly learning how to use our state of the art software to plan and conduct face to face lessons - saving you on prep time
* Being available to commit to every class you are scheduled to teach
* Using your strong rapport building skills to develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
* Keeping an accurate record online of your students progress and goals on a weekly basis
* Providing verbal and written feedback to parents

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly opened centre as it develops and expands its offer to the local community. There is potential opportunity to take on extra responsibilities as our centre grows.

About you

To succeed in this role you will need the following essential skills and attributes:

* A teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* At least two years recent experience teaching in a UK school
* A current safeguarding certificate
* A friendly, professional and personable manner
* Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
* Demonstrate a positive and caring personality
* Confidence using software and computers
* Genuine love for learning and teaching
* Reliable, high attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability and willingness to teach face to face in our Driffield Centre.
* Ability and willingness to teach one or two evenings per week (Monday to Thursday) or Saturday mornings.

We would also desire the following skills and attributes:

* Experience of supporting learners with SEND
* Experience of delivering tuition to small groups
* Paediatric first aid training
